How to Unlock a Mount in Palworld - How to Ride Pals

View attachment 49

After a while in Palworld, you may find that you can ride the Pals you have caught. Here are some steps you need to complete to unlock the mount features of these Pals. In this article, we will explain to you how this happens.

How to Unlock a Mount in Palworld

To ride a Pals in Palworld, like Melpaca or Eikthyrdeer, first, capture one. Make sure to unlock their Partner Skills to use them as mounts. These creatures can be found walking on roads or dirt paths in the game world, but it might be hard to catch them if you’re just starting and don’t have a Mega Sphere.

Once you catch one, you’ll see a Saddle or Harness for that creature in the Tech tree. Use Tech points to unlock the gear. Then, create a Pal Gear Workbench and gather special materials to craft the saddle or harness. After that, you can summon your Pal and use the Partner Skill to bring it into Palworld whenever you want.

How to Get a Flying Mount in Palworld

To get flying mounts in Palworld, follow the same steps as with ground types like Direhowl and Rushoar.
One of the first flying mounts you’ll find is Nitewings, an eagle-like Pal often seen flying between the Grassy Behemoth Hills and the Fort Ruins.

To capture Nitewings, bring a bow and arrows. Start the battle and summon a strong Pal like Foxsparks or Daedream to lower the flying pals health and catch it. Once you have it, unlock the mount piece in the Tech tree and craft the item to ride Nitewings.

How to Increase Mount Speed in Palworld

Once you finally get a mount, you may notice that they are really slow.
To fix this, capture another Mountable Pal that has a chance to have passive skills like Runner or Swift to increase their mount speed.
According to players, you can also simply create a Pal combination in stables with these special mount speed passives.
